Drug addiction means excessive attraction to illegal substances such as opium, heroin, alcohol, morphine, etc. It has become a serious problem all over the world. The number of teenagers and young adults who are addicted to drugs is increasing every day. People become addicted to drugs for various reasons. These include curiosity, social instability, family problems, unemployment, mismatch of expectations and achievements, availability of drugs, etc.

The effects of drug addiction are very harmful and deadly. A drug addict’s health breaks down. They lose mental and physical strength. They suffer from various diseases such as anemia, insomnia, physical weakness, blood pressure, and other serious diseases. Their lungs, kidneys, and liver are also damaged. Therefore, it should be stopped by any means possible. The government alone is not capable of solving this problem. People should support the government in rooting out this problem from society.

When people get too frustrated about life, they turn to drugs. Depression is more common among young people, so their rates of drug use are also high. Drug addiction causes mental imbalance. The use of various drugs can lead to seizures and even death. As a result drug addiction leads to failure in personal life and disaster in national life.

It is possible to prevent a person from taking drugs through family, social, and state awareness. With the help of the mass media, they can carry out an anti-drug campaign in various ways. Overall, if a person is treated very well by his relatives and if the state gives him a healthy living environment, it is possible to cure drug addiction very easily.
