Health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being where disease and illness are absent. Health is not just about getting rid of a disease or illness or physical well-being, health is a combination of a person’s social, mental, and physical qualities that help him to live a fulfilling life.

According to World Health Organization (WHO), “health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”

Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines health as “the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit”

Oxford online dictionary defines health as: “a state of being, free from illness or injury”

According to Wikipedia, “a state characterized by anatomic, physiologic, and psychological integrity; ability to perform personally valued family, work, and community roles; ability to deal with physical, biological, psychological, and social stress”.

What is physical health?

Physical health refers to the proper functioning of every part of the body. Staying physically fit is important in everyone’s life. It is very important to be physically fit to do everything right in every moment of life.

To keep this body healthy, we have to follow the hygiene. A person is physically healthy, and every part of his body is working properly, not just because he is free from disease. Rather, it is made possible by daily exercise, a nutritious diet, and adequate rest.

What is mental health?

Mental health refers to the social and mental well-being of a person. Mental well-being depends on the individual. Every human being has different emotions, joys, pains, and thoughts. So the mental health of every human being depends on himself. 

A person’s mental health depends on how satisfied he is with his social or economic situation. If you are not mentally healthy, it is not possible to be physically healthy. Always smiling, and relying on your own condition helps to overcome stress and mental weakness.

The most important thing in our life is our health. We should protect this health and live a happy life by following the rules of hygiene.

What is health education?

Education that changes people’s health behavior is called health education. Simply, health education is the proper way to educate people about health and disease, improve human health, and move forward towards good health by overcoming adversity or illness.

According to the World Health Organization ( WHO ), “the goals and objectives of health education are to improve the quality of life of the people and to serve the family, society, and country in the long run. “

What is stress?

We have some stress in our daily life. We feel stressed when we have a deadline for some work or when we don’t have enough money to run till the end of the month. However, stress is often good for our mental health and sometimes bad.

Good stress:

  • Causes an explosion of energy.
  • Helps to cope with everyday problems and inspires us to reach our goals.
  • Helps to get the job done more efficiently.

Bad stress:

  • Damages mental health.
  • Harms physical health.

If we live in the same stress week after week or month after month then it is harmful to us.

How do I know if I’m having too much stress?

Our body will tell us if we have to struggle too much with stress. Some of the symptoms of depression are given below.

Physical:

  • Headaches all the time.
  • Having trouble finishing.
  • Body aches and pains.
  • Getting sick from time to time.

Mental:

  • To pay attention to any work or
  • Things to worry about all the time

Emotions:

  • Being annoyed by things.
  • Getting angry quickly.
  • Being more anxious than usual.
